BEHIND THE SCENES

Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Chef Frank Lennon's career began early on, when he was a teenager felt attracted to try new flavors,  and to experiment in the kitchen, he found his calling to cuisine, and went to the renowned International Culinary center (formerly French Culinary Institute) in New York city, back in 2012, there he followed his passion. 

He, then started working at Bar Boulud, in Manhattan New York, as a line cook, he elevated his culinary career, trained and learned there for over a year. Over the years he worked at many fine-dinning establishments, such as American Cut, in Tribeca, New York City; later on he became Sous chef at La Pecora Bianca, in Upper East Side Manhattan, he gained professional experience and continued his journey at BLT steak and BLT Prime in New York City. He takes pride in every single dish he makes. Chef Frank has an exquisite palate and he is at Ginger Chef working in the kitchen, using locally grown ingredients and making the best for you.

Hand to hand with Shurpal Lennon, born, raised and graduated in Colombia, journalist, with experience in restaurant business administration, and love for cooking, have created Ginger Chef LLC, a food delivery service for the community.

At Ginger Chef you'll have a variety of flavors and cuisines, a mix of French, American and Latin American flavors, with only fresh and locally grow products.

WE DO OUR PART

At Ginger Chef we use environmentally friendly products; biodegradable and compostable. Substituting sustainable and renewable plant based for petroleum based plastics contributes to waste diversion programs in the U.S.

What makes a product compostable? it must break down completely into organic matter, 90% in 84 days.

The meal containers use at Ginger Chef LLC are compostable, made of sugarcane bagasse. 

Sugarcane bagasse is a byproduct of the sugary industry that is created after the sugarcane is crushed to extract the juice. The sugarcane fiber, which otherwise would be burned or thrown into a landfill can then be reused to create bagasse pulp for eco-friendly and high-quality paper products such as the meal containers we use to pack our meals.

Ginger chef bags are reusable bags, no plastic that you can use to go shopping or whenever you need.
